Today we hiked on part of the local Rails to Trails. You can learn more about the Clarion-Little Toby Trail and Rails to Trails by following the links in this sentence. I will be bringing home some maps so that you can see where I was.
You will notice that there are six ghost towns along the trail and also the site of an old train wreck! I learned that ghost towns don't actually have ghosts but are old towns that have been abandoned. We didn't get to explore them very much because they aren't safe due to a lot of rusty metal and old foundations that can be fallen into. One of the ghost towns was built in 1798--that is 218 years ago! I wanted to search for treasure and gold, but it was pretty cold out. Maybe next time!
